Kelsey L. Genovesse, PA-C joined the University of Utah Infectious Disease Department in May 2020. She graduated from the University of Utah’s Physician Assistant Program in 2013 and worked with migrant farmer worker populations in California for several years then moved to Washington where she focused on underserved populations at a Federally Qualified Health Center. There she became the PrEP provider for her clinic along with running the Controlled Substance Committee. Her focus has always been on patient advocacy and providing education so patients can make the most informed decision for their own health. Since returning to Utah to join the department she splits her time in the Free PrEP clinic through Infectious Disease and AIDS Education Training Center running the Public Health Detailing program. This program focuses on improved evidence based medicine through educational outreach with providers to help improve their practice, provide support and consultation while ultimately improving health of our communities. In her free time Kelsey enjoys hiking, backpacking and all things sourdough baking.
