  • Taryn Khong is a Performing Arts Physical Therapist specialized in dance medicine and the prevention and treatment of dance specific injuries. Taryn received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Columbia University and has worked as a Physical Therapist both in-clinic and backstage for the New York City Ballet, the School of American Ballet, and multiple Broadway and Off-Broadway shows including; Frozen, King Kong, Sunset Boulevard, Groundhog Day the Musical, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime, The King and I, Waitress, School of Rock, Beautiful, The Crucible, Natasha Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812, Prince of Broadway, Cagney, and The Royale. She has also had the opportunity to treat dancers and performers from Boston Ballet, the Metropolitan Opera, Alvin Ailey, Juilliard schools of dance and acting, American Ballet Theatre JKO school, Twyla Tharp dance company, MOMIX, Ballet Trockadero, SALT Contemporary Dance Company, Ririe Woodbury, Wasatch Contemporary Dance Company, and more. Taryn is fully certified in trigger point dry needling and loves to focus on manual therapy as part of her physical therapy treatments.

    Taryn grew up in Sandy, Utah and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science from BYU and an Associate of Science Degree from Utah State. Taryn grew up studying dance locally in many different styles and has taught tap, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, and ballet. Taryn also had the opportunity of performing in Odyssey Dance Theatre's Thriller for two years. However, after experiencing both personal and students’ injuries, she decided to pursue a career in physical therapy and dance medicine in order to further help students and patients alike to be at their best performance. After developing her career in New York City, Taryn relocated back to Utah and is happy to give back to the community that raised her! She is currently welcoming new patients and accepts most insurance plans.
