Dr. Zinkhan is knowledgeable, friendly, patient, honest, and seems to have a holistic approach to treatment, which I appreciate. Patients with chronic illness have nearly always experienced dismissive providers in the past and are often apprehensive of seeing new specialists. Dr. Zinkhan seemed aware of this in that he was quick to establish trust and acted with transparency. I felt that he was extremely validating in responding to my symptoms and experiences while also wanting objective support (which is a good thing!). Amazing. "Heroes" aren't always the flashy, trauma-responding healthcare providers. The mundane, ongoing support from providers like Dr. Z causes patients like myself to weep with relief and gratitude, sometimes finding hope for the first time in months or years of dark days. These providers are the underrecognized silver lining to the devastation of a previously healthy life via chronic illness.

Overall, I have really liked Dr. Z and I think he is knowledge is good on migraines, however, I feel like my specific care is not being taken care of. I don't feel listened to on what I need to help with migraines I've suffered with for over 30 years.
