  • Dr. Matthew Grinsell completed his medical degree and doctorate of philosophy from the University of Nevada School of Medicine. He then completed his Pediatric residency and fellowship in Nephrology at The University of Virginia. He is board-certified in Pediatric Nephrology. Dr. Grinsell is an Assocaite Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Utah in the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension.

    Dr. Grinsell’s clinical practice includes care of patients with disorders of the kidney including chronic kidney disease, nephrotic syndrome, glomerulonephritis, tubular disorders, cystic kidney disease, kidney malformations, kidney stones and hypertension. He also and provides medical supervision of dialysis treatments, plasma exchange and kidney transplantation in children and adolescents. He has a special interest in sports-related kidney injuries, nephrotic syndrome and management of kidney disease in infants. His regional practice includes patients from Utah, as well as from the surrounding states of Nevada, Colorado, Idaho, New Mexico and Montana.
