Born in San Francisco, CA before relocating to Salt Lake City, he completed the Physician Assistant program at Rocky Mountain College in Billings Montana in 2000. He obtained a post-graduate Master’s degree from the University of Utah in 2009. He has worked in and served as a clinical preceptor in several disciplines, including pediatrics, orthopedics/sports medicine, migrant farm child health, urgent care and internal medicine, with 17 years experience in pediatrics. In addition to clinical practice, Jared is the Program Director of the University of Utah Physician Assistant program since 2018. He is also a past president of the Utah Academy of Physician Assistants, past Legislative chair for the Utah Academy and currently serves as the chair of the Utah Physician Assistant Licensing board. He directs the Pediatrics course, and instructs students in Pediatrics, Infectious disease, and Mission in Practice for the University of Utah PA program.
