Cathryn Koptiuch is a board-certified genetic counselor with a master’s degree in Human Genetics from Sarah Lawrence College and a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Vermont. She joined Huntsman Cancer Institute in June 2015. She specializes in hereditary gastrointestinal cancer predisposition syndromes, including Lynch syndrome, Familial Adenomatous Polyposis, Hereditary Diffuse Gastric Cancer, and Familial Pancreatic Cancer. Cathryn manages HCI's Universal Screening Program for Lynch syndrome and is engaged in multiple research efforts aimed in the early detection of pancreatic cancer. She also leads HCI's Telegenetics Clinic, offering genetic counseling via telemedicine to Utah's neighboring states.
