Alan Abbinanti, PharmD, BCACP attended the University of Utah College of Pharmacy. He trained in Ambulatory Care Clinical Pharmacy for two years at University of Utah Health, and he has prior experience in mental health during his 6 years of service in the United States Army. Dr. Abbinanti specialized in Family Medicine during his Ambulatory Care Clinical Pharmacy residency.
After his residency training Dr. Abbinanti opened Clinical Pharmacy services at Huntsman Mental Health Institute at the HOME program for individuals with developmental disabilities. There he works with patients and other providers to optimize medication therapy and manage chronic diseases in both primary care and psychiatry. His clinical interests include primary care, psychiatry, medical education, underserved medicine, quality improvement, and population health. Dr. Abbinanti enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children, automotive detailing and repair, watching football, and cycling.
