Dr. Brian T. Bucher’s research interests include Biomedical Informatics and Quality Improvement (using hospital and patient data to improve care). His focus is on using natural language processing and machine learning to create a surveillance system for postoperative adverse events. In addition he has a interest in predictive analytics to identify high surgical risk patients.
