He received training in Internal Medicine from the University of Colorado Denver where he was introduced to quality improvement and patient safety through the Hospitalist Training Program. He joined the faculty at the University of Utah Hosptialist Group as a Clinical Instructor in 2015. He served as the inaugural GME Value Fellow at the University of Utah and currently serves as the GME Director for Quality & Safety and Co-Director for the Value-Driven Healthcare pathway for medical students.
