Dr. McClure completed residency training in orthopedic surgery at Brown University, where he continued to complete a fellowship in orthopedic trauma before continuing to Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. In Dallas, he completed additional fellowship training in pediatric orthopedics and scoliosis surgery. After completing this pediatric fellowship, he continued to further subspecialize in limb lengthening and reconstructive surgery for pediatric and adult patients at the International Center for Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction and the Rubin Institute in Baltimore, Maryland. He is a member of the Orthopedic Trauma Association, Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America, and the Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction Society.
Dr. McClure’s practice focuses on children who require limb reconstruction and/or lengthening secondary to a variety of causes: trauma, infection, congenital differences and genetic/syndromic differences as well as many others. Dr. McClure’s limb deformity team consists of a physical therapist as well as a certified athletic trainer in order to ensure that our patients have the best possible outcomes following complex reconstructive procedures.
Dr. McClure is passionate about education within the world of limb reconstruction. He has served as a lecturer at the Baltimore Limb Deformity Course and co-director of the BLDC post course focusing on correction using external fixation techniques.
When Dr. McClure is not working he can be found playing ice hockey, skiing, doing pottery or spending time with his three children.
