  • Dr. Vaughan received her bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University and her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch. She completed her residency training in Pediatrics at the University of Oklahoma and a fellowship in Pediatric Hospital Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine at the Children’s Hospital of San Antonio. She is board-certified in Pediatrics and board-eligible in Pediatric Hospital Medicine.

    Dr. Vaughan practices as a pediatric hospitalist at Primary Children's Hospital and the Primary Children's Unit at Riverton Hospital. Her clinical interests include the care of hospitalized infants and children and safe transitions of care.

    In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Vaughan is a course director for the Clinical Skills and Medical Decision Making (CMC) course at the University of Utah School of Medicine. She is also the course director for the Pediatric Admitting Resident Rotation and is involved in curriculum development and quality improvement initiatives within that role.
