  • Abinash C. Roy, M.D., FASN., is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine, at the University of Utah. As a nephrologist and specialist of clinical hypertension, his clinical interests include Chronic Kidney Disease including all modalities of Renal replacement therapy, Hypertension, Kidney Stone disease, Fluid -Electrolytes abnormalities and Primary Renal Diseases.
    Dr. Roy received his Medical Degree from the University of Chittagong in Bangladesh in 1979. He received training in Internal Medicine from Maimonides Medical Center (State University of New York Program) in Brooklyn, New York. He went to Brown University at Providence, Rhode Island for fellowship in Nephrology and Hypertension. Upon completion of the fellowship he joined the division of Nephrology and Hypertension, Department of Medicine at the University of Utah. He is one of the 1st certified specialists in Clinical Hypertension in USA and Canada.
    Dr. Roy is Board certified and recently recertified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology.
    In addition to the University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics, he has staff privilege in Dixie Regional Medical Center, St George, Utah, Valley View Hospital, Cedar City Utah and Mesa View General Hospital, Mesquite, Nevada.
    He currently serves as the Medical Director of Dixie and Desert Valley Dialysis Center of the University of Utah. He runs clinics in southern Utah and Mesquite, Nevada. He provides in-patient acute care nephrology service at Dixie Regional Medical Center, St. George, Utah.
