Dr. Anelah McGinness received her medical degree from University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine, completed her Pediatric residency at Oakland Children’s Hospital, and her Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship at Children’s Hospital Pittsburgh, with additional training on Point of Care Ultrasound and Medical Education. Dr. McGinness is board-certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Emergency Medicine.

Dr. McGinness is currently an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics on the Clinical Track in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine. As Point of Care Ultrasound Faculty, her specific clinical interests are in improving the quality of point of care ultrasound education for students, residents, and practicing physicians. She focuses on using point of care ultrasound to diagnose, treat, and teach patients and families about their health.
