  • Brent D. Wilson, M.D., Ph.D., has appointments in the Division of Cardiology and in the Department of Radiology at the University of Utah. He serves as Director of the Cardiovascular Center, Director of Cardiology Clinical services and the Advanced Cardiac Imaging Fellowship Program. He has been on faculty at the University of Utah since 2006.

    Dr. Wilson received his medical degree as well as a Ph.D. in Genetics from Stanford University in 2000. Dr. Wilson completed Internal Medicine internship and residency at the University of Utah and affiliated hospitals in 2002. He completed Cardiology Fellowship in 2006 at the University of Utah, where he served as Chief Cardiology Fellow. He also completed an Advanced Cardiac Imaging Fellowship in 2007. Dr. Wilson has built a large cardiology and cardiac imaging practice in Utah. His clinical interests include ischemic heart disease (coronary artery disease) and non-ischemic heart disease, valvular heart disease, and cardiac arrhythmias. Dr. Wilson is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, Echocardiography, and Nuclear Cardiology. He also has advanced training in cardiovascular CT and MRI. In additional to his clinical and administrative responsibilities, Dr. Wilson is a research investigator with the Comprehensive Arrhythmia Research and Management (CARMA) Center.
