  • Dr. McFarland received her medical degree from Pennsylvania State College of Medicine, completed her Pediatrics residency at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital/Oregon Health and Sciences University, and her Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship and a fourth year fellowship in Advanced Cardiac Imaging with a focus on fetal echocardiography at Primary Children’s Hospital/University of Utah. Dr. McFarland is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Utah and is in the division of Pediatric Cardiology at Primary Children’s Hospital. She sees patients with all types of congenital and acquired heart disease, and also specializes in fetal echocardiography. Dr. McFarland has a clinical and research interest in patients undergoing single ventricle palliation, with additional research interests in 2D echocardiography and particularly the assessment of heart function and the association with clinical outcomes.
