  • Christopher Sonne, MD, is an Associate Clinical Professor and Attending Hospitalist at University of Utah Health. As a specialist in inpatient Hospital Medicine, his interests include delivering premiere inpatient patient care, health informatics, quality improvement, and optimizing the systems that support patient care.

    Dr. Sonne completed his medical degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine and his residency training in internal medicine at NYU Langone Health. In the past, he served as Medical Director of the Medicine Care Transitions Unit at NYU Langone Health which specialized in caring for patients with difficult transitions in care, and as Chair of the Medicine Epic Optimization Committee. In these roles, he focused on patient-centered care, improving provider workflows, enhancing interdisciplinary communication, and advancing patient safety and efficiency through electronic medical record innovation.

    Dr. Sonne is a Fellow in the Society of Hospital Medicine, and is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
