Diane Allen began painting on silk after being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012. In addition to silk painting, she works in textile sculpture and mixed media. Diane has been a guest teacher for the Artist in Residence program since 2015. She is a board member of EngAGE Utah, a non-profit organization that brings the arts to the aging population, and a member of Silk Painters International. She loves being at Huntsman Cancer Institute and giving people an outlet while they are going through cancer treatment.
