Dr. Gideon Lawi is originally from Kenya. He earned his undergraduate degree from Weber State University and his medical degree from the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine. His medical interests include caring for underserved populations, full-spectrum family medicine, geriatrics, and motivational interviewing. Outside of medicine, he enjoys snowboarding, camping, hiking, and mountain biking with his dog, as well as working as a home mechanic. He chose the University of Utah for its strong emphasis on his areas of interest, its proximity to the outdoors, and the opportunity to be close to family and friends.
