  • Dr. Horn received his degree in medicine from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City in 2011 after playing professional baseball for the Minnesota Twins and Atlanta Braves organizations. He completed an internal medicine internship at the University of Utah School of Medicine in 2012 and anesthesiology residency at the University of Utah School of Medicine in 2015. He completed a unique fellowship centered on resident education and the politics of medicine with special emphasis in anesthesiology in 2016. He was the recipient of the prestigious Medical Student Teaching Award while completing his fellowship. He was appointed as an Assistant Professor (Clinical) at the University of Utah Department of Anesthesiology and named the chair of the political action committee for the Utah Society of Anesthesiologists in 2017. He developed the Integrated Goal-Directed Narrative for the In-Training Exam (IGNITE) for residents with sub-standard performance on the in-training exam as well as the Resident Advanced mentoring Program (RAMP) designed specifically for residents struggling to achieve clinical excellence.
