Dr. Jessica received her medical degree from the Wake Forest University School of Medicine in North Carolina. She then completed a Triple Board Residency program at the University of Utah and was board certified in Pediatrics, Adult Psychiatry, and Child Psychiatry. After working as a pediatrics hospitalist for a few years in Tucson, AZ, she attended the University of Washington. There, she finished training in Pediatric Nephrology Fellowship at Seattle Children’s Hospital and attained a Masters of Science in Epidemiology at the University of Washington.

She is enthusiastic to return to Utah and hopes to use her combined experience in psychiatry, pediatrics, and nephrology as a starting point to providing holistic care for her patients. Her clinical and research interests are geared toward understanding how we can best support patients and their families through exploring the relationship between mental and physical health. While her clinical home is in pediatric nephrology, she believes that knowledge about how to navigate a life with chronic kidney disease can be useful in many other types of chronic illness.
