Marlayna C. Despres, MD

Dr. Marlayna Despres is a member of the division of pediatric cardiology at the University of Utah. She has advanced training in pediatric, transesophageal, and fetal echocardiography. She sees patients with all forms of congenital heart disease from fetal life and infancy through late adolescence. Her research interests include the genetic underpinnings of congenital heart disease and associated complications and well as improving outcomes for patients in this population.

Dr. Despres received her medical degree from the University of Utah and completed her pediatric residency at the University of Utah/Primary Children's Hospital. She then stayed and completed her pediatric cardiology fellowship followed by an advanced echocardiography and fetal cardiology fellowship at the University of Utah/ Primary Children's Hospital.
