Masaya Jimbo, MD, PhD, is a urologist specializing in men's health including sexual health, infertility, erectile dysfunction, Peyronie's disease, and hypogonadism (low testosterone).
Dr. Jimbo attended medical school at Thomas Jefferson University (TJU) in Philadelphia, PA. At TJU he obtained his MD degree as well as his PhD degree simultaneously, performing basic laboratory research on molecular biology of pancreatic cancer. He went on to complete a five-year urology residency at Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, which has consistently been ranked the No. 1 urology department nationwide. He is currently at University of Utah Health obtaining subspecialty fellowship training in andrology (male sexual health and infertility), under the mentorship of Dr. Jim Hotaling, MD MS FECSM.
During his fellowship, Dr. Jimbo will be conducting basic/translational research studying the molecular mechanisms of infertility (sperm loss) in Klinefelter's syndrome patients.
At home, Dr. Jimbo is busy caring for and entertaining his two young daughters. In his spare time, he enjoys weightlifting, reading science fiction/fantasy novels, and building model kits.
