  • Megan M. Pignato, MD, is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Utah. She earned her MD from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine & Health Sciences. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of New Mexico, where she received recognition for teaching and service.

    Her early research began through the MSTAR program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she studied exercise engagement and outcomes in osteoarthritis. Since then, she has presented nationally on topics including quality improvement in heart failure care and diagnostic challenges in acute care. She has also co-authored peer-reviewed work on musculoskeletal disorders.

    Dr. Pignato has worked as a hospitalist at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center and as a locums physician in both West Virginia and California before joining the University of Utah. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine and an active member of the American Medical Association.
