Curtis received her MD from the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo. She received training in internal medicine from the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC). Curtis then served as a hospitalist at UPMC for the 2025-2026 academic year. In the past, she received her PharmD from Northeastern University prior to her medical training. She is currently a member of the American College of Physicians and Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honors Society. She is American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) certified.
