About Studying Outdoor Ultraviolet Levels (SOUL)

Exposure to ultraviolet radiation from the sun or other sources can cause sunburns and damage skin. Studying Outdoor Ultraviolet Levels (SOUL) will test a new device that tracks ultraviolet radiation exposure and helps children and adults know how much they get.

Who can participate in the study?

  • Are you 18 years of age or older and currently living in Utah?
  • Do you have a child between ages 8 and 17?
  • Do you use a smartphone?

This study has all the participants we need. Learn about other Research Studies open at Huntsman Cancer Institute.

If I participate, what will I do?

  • You and your child will be asked to wear a device that tracks your ultraviolet radiation exposure.
  • We will also ask for feedback about the device.
