The Huntsman SportsFest Goes Virtual

Every year, the Huntsman SportsFest brings people together to run, walk, and cycle to raise money for cancer research. When COVID-19 turned the in-person event into a virtual affair, some participants opted out. But 13-year-old Allee Curby didn’t let it stop her. Learn how Allee raised thousands of dollars and came up with a special way to honor her grandparents through her own personal 5K route.

Conquering Cranky – Optimism amid a Breast Cancer Diagnosis

Candis Shupe was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer in January of 2019. Candis’s enthusiasm, optimism, and desire to help others has led to her family motto: "Conquer Cranky." She has taught her children about cancer in a nonthreatening way, participated in various clinical trials, and raised more than $11,500 for research at HCI with help from her favorite modern aerobics fitness class, High Fitness."

The entire Linton family is committed to help HCI eradicate cancer from the face of the earth. They are passionate about funding research so that one day, no one else will be lost to this horrible disease.

Pushing Up A Hill

Patient and Huntsman Hero Dan Nelson set out to ride the 30-mile segment of the Huntsman 140 in spite of a terminal brain cancer diagnosis. When Dan wasn't sure he could make it up the last hill, his #DanStrong team of family and friends was there to push him to the top. In the hardest of times, Dan and his wife Dianne have never been alone.
