Jason P. Hunt, MD
Program Leader

Dr. Hunt received his MD from University of Alabama, Birmingham, completed his residency in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at Louisiana State University in New Orleans. He then completed a specialized training fellowship in head and neck surgical oncology, skull base, and microvascular reconstruction at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. He joined the Huntsman Cancer Institute/University of Utah faculty in 2006.

Luke Buchmann, MD

Dr. Buchmann received his MD from MCP/Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. He then completed a residency in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Kansas in Kansas City. Following residency he completed fellowship training in Head and Neck Oncology and Microvascular Reconstruction at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He joined the University of Utah faculty and Huntsman Cancer Institute in July of 2008.

Marcus Monroe, M.D., is an assistant professor in the Division of Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery, Department of Surgery at the University of Utah School of Medicine. He is a surgeon and investigator with the Huntsman Cancer Institute where he specializes in the complex multidisciplinary care of patients with head and neck cancer.

Marcus M. Monroe, MD

Dr. Monroe received his medical degree at the University of Missouri—Columbia School of Medicine and completed his residency training in Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) in Portland, Oregon. Prior to joining the faculty at the University of Utah, Dr. Monroe completed a 2-year fellowship in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.

Ken Grossman, MD

Dr. Grossman completed undergraduate studies in biology at Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington. He earned his PhD and MD degrees from the Department of Molecular and Medical Genetics at Oregon Health & Sciences University (OHSU) in Portland. He completed a combined fellowship in medical oncology at OHSU and the University of Utah, and also participated in a melanoma and cutaneous oncology rotation at MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Dev Abraham, MBBS

Dr. Abraham serves as Medical Director for the Endocrine Head and Neck Tumor program that provides a collaboration of experts who treat patients with thyroid and parathyroid tumors and cancers. Dr. Abraham is board certified in endocrinology and ECNU certified in performing neck ultrasonography. He has expertise in performing percutaneous ethanol ablation therapy for toxic thyroid nodules, thyroid and thyro-glossal cysts, and parathyroid adenomas.
