Screening helps find head and neck cancer early, when it is easiest to treat. Head and neck cancers can form in the tissues of the mouth, throat, thyroid, sinuses, or other areas of the head and neck. Huntsman Cancer Institute is committed to improving head and neck cancer outcomes through early screening, prevention efforts, and research focused on HPV vaccination and tobacco cessation.
You can lower your risk of head and neck cancers by vaccinating against HPV, practicing healthy habits, and staying up to date on recommended screenings.
