Resiliency Center Courses & Trainings

The Resiliency Center offers intensive courses and trainings that improve occupational well-being at the individual and team levels. These trainings help University of Utah Health faculty and staff develop practical skills and strategies to address workplace challenges, cultivate strengths, and enhance meaning at work.


Joy in Work Foundations Course


A full-day immersive retreat providing essential tools, support, and resources to empower Joy in Work within your role. Joy in Work program helps individuals, teams, and the organization build a culture where people and teams thrive together using  Institute for Healthcare Improvement's "Framework for Improving Joy in Work." Joy in Work Facilitator Training


A year-long training and certification program equipping participants with the knowledge and skills to launch well-being initiatives within their group or team.

Utah Advanced Communication Training


Develop advanced communication skills for complex patient interactions and workplace challenges, including disclosing medical errors, improving conflict resolution, and increasing awareness of cultural considerations.

Peer Support Training: Fostering a Culture of Connection & Care


Train to become a Peer Responder, offering understanding and solidarity to colleagues navigating the unique stressors and challenges of healthcare and academic environments. Learn to check in on someone experiencing a stress injury, listen and respond to difficult emotions, and refer to support resources.
