The University of Utah was ranked No. 35 in Clinical Medicine and Pharmacy on the 2015 Academic Ranking of World Universities, conducted by researchers at the Center for World-Class Universities of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, which was released Monday.

The University of Utah ties for the 35th spot with the University of Chicago.

The ranking considers several indicators of academic or research performance, including alumni and staff winning Nobel Prizes and Fields Medals, highly cited researchers, papers published in the journals Nature and Science, papers indexed in major citation indices, and the per capita academic performance of an institution, according to the organization.

The U remained steady at number 35 in the world for the second year in a row. Two years ago the U jumped from number 51 in the world to 35.
