Robyn Reynolds, M.B.A., has been named chief marketing and communications officer for University of Utah Health, effective January 6, 2020. Reynolds will oversee strategic communications and marketing efforts across University of Utah Health’s missions of patient care, research, education, and community engagement. She will manage a team of 60 communications, marketing and digital professionals.

“We are thrilled to have Robyn join our team,” said Michael L. Good, M.D., Senior Vice President for Health Sciences and CEO of University of Utah Health. “She brings great vision and enthusiasm to this role and a track record of impressive experience and accomplishments in her field. I am confident she will add energy and momentum through teamwork to our marketing and communication initiatives, helping to share with many audiences the great work taking place at University of Utah Health.”

Reynolds will lead efforts to further develop U of U Health’s national reputation and oversee all marketing functions including messaging, strategy, market research and brand positioning.

“University of Utah Health is a remarkable institution and one that’s on the rise. I’m honored to join in this role,” said Reynolds. “I look forward to partnering with leaders throughout the institution to build on the great momentum that already exists here. I also look forward to taking advantage of all Utah has to offer,” she said.

Reynolds has more than two decades in marketing and leadership experience in health care, academic medicine and marketing and communications agencies. Her most recent experience comes from Tacoma, Washington where she served as director of strategic marketing for MultiCare. In this role, she was charged with marketing oversight for five hospitals, off-campus emergency departments and the organization’s physician practice. During her tenure she also helped launch an insurance product and oversaw several key strategic partnerships, including affiliations with local sports franchises.

Prior to her time in Tacoma, she worked with the University of Virginia Health System as an administrator of marketing, and with Lewis Communications in Mobile, Alabama where she served as the creative director.

Reynolds received bachelor’s degrees in communications and English from Spring Hill College and a Master of Business Administration from Benedictine University. She’s been a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity and the ASPCA and hopes to become involved in community and professional groups in Utah. She and her husband Grahm enjoy travel, live music and outdoor recreation.
