For individuals who have lost a family member or friend to death, the University of Utah College of Nursing and the University of Utah Hospitals & Clinics are hosting an event focusing on ways in which people can honor and memorialize their deceased loved ones.

Sponsored by the Caring Connections: A Hope and Comfort in Grief Program, the "Seeds of Remembrance" event will take place on Tuesday, May 24 at 7 p.m. in the College of Nursing auditorium, 10 South 2000 East.

Kimberley Heuston Sorenson, M.F.A., national author of adult and childrens books, is the featured speaker and will focus on putting loss into words in her remarks titled "Healing Words." The evening will conclude with a reception where attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and visit the Memory Garden and view the Memorial Wall on the grounds of the college.

"Seeds of Remembrance" is free and open to the public. For further information, contact Caring Connections, 801-585-9522.
