Parents and children can learn about staying safe and living healthy at the annual Kids Health and Safety Fair. University Health Care's Neuropsychiatric Institute and KUED are sponsoring the event on Sept 8, 2007, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Attendees can visit the exhibits and enjoy entertainment. The fair will be held on the grounds behind the Neuropsychiatric Institute in Research Park at 501 Chipeta Way in Salt Lake City.

The fair will feature craft projects, health exhibits and lots of entertainment from magicians, dancers, and the very popular Curious George, who will provide special readings to the children. Representatives from the Spot the Tot program will be on hand educating kids about taking precautions when crossing the street. The local police and fire departments, AirMed, Ask a Doc, Caring Connections and the Utah Health Department are just a few examples of the exhibitors at this year's fair.

The Kids Health and Safety Fair is free and open to the public. For more information, call (801) 583-2500.
