Bariatric Surgery - Surgical Weight Loss & Gastric Banding

At University of Utah Health Care, our Bariatric Surgery specialists provide the latest in surgical weight loss expertise including laparoscopic Roux-en Y gastric bypass and adjustable gastric banding (typically known as the Lap-Band® or the Realize Band®). Patients are guided through the process by a team of health care professionals that include board certified surgeons, physicians, physician assistants, nurses, and dieticians. From the moment our patients enter the program, our focus is on education, support, and creating an individualized treatment plan that meets our patient’s weight loss goals.
