Dr. Alden has over 30 years experience providing psychiatric care in the public mental health system in Utah. She has worked in 4 of the 11 community mental health centers and in addition has served as Director of the Utah Division of Mental Health, the state agency with responsibility for providing oversight and technical assistance for the public mental health system. Dr. Alden was President of the National Association of State Mental Health Program Directors and a member of the National Advisory Council to the U.S. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. Her clinical focus is on providing psychiatric care for persons with mental illnesses such as schizophrenia and mood disorders. She is strongly committed to principles of recovery and believes that all persons deserve the supports necessary to enable them to achieve their full potential for happy and productive lives. Dr. Alden is not accepting new patients.
