He pays attention to everything about my health and not just the cancer and heart failure. It is very reassuring to have him on my team, and to know that he is watching ALL the issues. The specialists are good, but generally only concerned with their particular area of expertise whereas Dr Houchins keeps an eye on all the numbers!

Before the procedure, I was very nervous and embarrass about the whole thing...but, he made me feel very comfortable and relax. He explained to me in detail the procedure the pros, cons and side effects. He empower me to make a decision about my health. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THE EXCEPTIONAL PATIENT EXPERIENCE!

UofU Patient January 21, 2012One important factor in choosing CIGNA this year instead of Select Med, which is cheaper by the way, is Dr. Houchins. He is knowledgeable and he is direct when he speaks. Most importantly however is that I get a strong impression that he knows his craft and is passionate about being a good physician and that translates to me that I will receive the best advice and the best treatment.
