I only put a 4 on #1 because I feel like that is appropriate and the best answer. He was very friendly but not gushing, it brought my emotionalness down to not have someone try to empathize. He is a specialist not a family doc. He was very courteous and very friendly but not overly so. I expected a professional and I got a professional. Very nice. I expect he can figure me out to some degree:)

Dr Peterson took the time to listen and to help me through something that was difficult. He is very caring and well educated. I already have told 3-4 people in St George to choose Dr Peterson.

Felt a little rushed at times. I would have felt a little more confident if my medical records and test results were reviewed before I came in or even while I was there.

Dr. Matthew Peterson exhibits fabulous bed-side manner. He was always willing to answer questions, gave us his personal cell phone number if we had follow up questions or concerns and never made us feel rushed. I would absolutely recommend him.

Dr. Peterson made us feel so much positivity about moving forward with our treatments. I've already recommended him to a friend of mine. We felt comfortable with him, and were so impressed with his confidence and knowledge. He was willing to answer all of our questions and gave us a lot of good information.

Again, my epxerience thus far has been incredible. I went to the appointment with no hope of getting pregnant and left with lots of hope for the egg donor program.

All of my questions (on my long list) were completely answered. I love this clinic! Thank you for all your care!! The pharmacy tech and myself were a little confused about the prescription description, because a part of it was from "auto fill" and the Dr. didn't get a chance / forgot to erase it. However, before I left with my prescription, I got the directions clarified with the pharmacist.

I like Dr Petersen's friendliness and that he uses regular English to explain things, but the appointment felt rushed and I didn't get to ask any of my questions. He also told me how to proceed rather than offering me options and letting me make my own choice. I would have liked more time to go through the different procedures he suggested and discuss their purpose and if they were really necessary.

Dr. Peterson is absolutely wonderful. He is genuinely concerned about how I'm doing, and communicates great with my husband as well to keep him in the loop. I feel confident in the best possible outcome by having Dr. Peterson as my physician.

I had to see him at the facility in Provo and he was running late so he called the MA and had her bring me the phone so that he could talk to me while he tried to get there! I LOVE my new doctor! He is very nice and wants you to understand what it is you are going through! He was very helpful in explaining my medications and asked what medications I wanted because there were 2 I could use. He let me know the pros and cons of both and i felt like I could make a very informed decision because of his willingness to help me.

One of the best doctors Ive been to. Comprehensive, will listen to any concerns you have and address them....not dismiss them. I felt I had complete care, answers, and treatment of the problem I went to him for and sadly that seems rare to find!

I have referred many friends to Dr Peterson he is amazing and has a gift.

I felt that Dr. Petersen instructed me to call and schedule an IUI without asking if that was what we wanted to do next, because it may be the next step that makes sense to do. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, however I felt pressured to try and understand all the instructions before I left, instead of taking the time to discuss the decision of an IUI. Make sense? We went through with the IUI, and for the most part I'm glad we did. We'll see if it yields the results we're hoping for :).

He is right to the point. We love that he doesn't make us jump through hoops to get what we want!

I felt my questions were answered, even those I didn't voice, and I felt prepared for my surgery.

I didn't really feel like I knew what was going on or that things were being explained to me. What info I got came from listening to him explain things to the intern and other Dr. That being said, I still feel he is a very competent Dr. It just seemed like he was perhaps distracted by the business and training side of things that were going on.

Confusion about medication once I am pregnant. Dr. Peterson and or the PA told us we would be taking a progesterone pill once we became pregnant and a nurse on our last visit ran through meds and said no you will keep doing shots. So we are just waiting for clarification when that time comes. But there does seem to be some confusion there.

The exam was very efficient and quick, only I didn't know about needing a prescription medication until the nurse called later in the day.

Because the Dr had a flat tire, he was late, and it felt like he was speaking quickly to get caught up. But he was still very willing to answer any questions and still gave me all the info I needed.

I like to ask questions and be informed about why I am doing a procedure etc. Dr Peterson was very good at talking through my concerns. I liked that he sent me relevant articles relating to my condition so I could be up-to-date at a previous appointment.

He's great at explaining things and telling me the next step.

I've been seeing Dr. Peterson for the last couple visits and he is pretty awesome.

I was not informed or included in the plan moving forward. I was told what medication to take, and it was costly. I found out after the fact that there would be many more follow up visits than had been anticipated. I also found out by the receptionist that they would not be able to bill my insurance. I was not aware of this going into this particular cycle. My husband and I had agreed that we would not pour much more money into infertility. He had only allowed me to move forward with the cycle because the femara was inexpensive and our insurance covered the ultrasound. The cycle ended up costing $800 more than anticipated. We would have chosen to not move forward if we had been given more information.

I feel like my doctor does a good job of addressing my concerns however I feel like it would be helpful if he told me the reasons he is not doing certain things. At the beginning of my fertility treatment he gave me a little dichotomous key of what tests were getting ran and what conditions each would imply...as we have proceeded I feel like I know less and less which is going on and which path we are on. This could be because I am not good at keeping track of my questions or not asking the right ones. Sometimes I feel like I getting placed into a certain track but I do not know why we have eliminated other options. For example My doctor wanted me to go right into IVF without trying higher does of fertility medication or other pathways friends of mine had tried and I was unable to explain to family why we were jumping right into IVF.
