Rusty the Phlebotomist used a butterfly needed to draw my blood and was training another Phlebotomist. He asked me what my favorite color was so he could use that color of bandage. He asked if he hurt me of which he did not.

November 02, 2015

I understood from Dr. that I would receive a follow-up call on lab results the following day( Wednesday) . I had not rec call by 4:00pm so I called and was told a message would be given to the doctor. I did not receive a call until Friday. I stayed home the entire time waiting for results.

October 21, 2015

This was my first visit after having a diagnosis confirmed via telephone, so of course I had a lot of questions and concerns. From the moment the dr came in, I felt rushed. I didn't feel like I had his full attention. He tried to play the part, tried to act concerned, but clearly he wasn't. He dismissed all my concerns without explaining why he thought the way he did. I didn't feel listened to or heard. When I asked about a particular medication, he told me that was "witchcraft". He used terms like "that's probably not" and "I don't think" and didn't back any of that up with facts. It felt like a wasted visit and a waste of my time. I ended up going to my regular doctor, who DID listen to my concerns and IS addressing my concerns. AND explaining why he thinks and COMMUNICATING with me about the course we are going to take to find out what is causing my symptoms vs just blowing me off or chalking them up to my MS, which Sawitzke did. He could clearly see that I had seen my neurologist a few weeks prior to seeing him. My symptoms are not MS. Are they Sjogren's related? possibly. I don't know, since they were never addressed. Very unhappy that I waited almost 6 months to see him and none of my questions were answered. He seems to have only one mindset and path for treating sjogrens, which he seems to think is ONLY dry eyes and mouth. According to my research there is a lot more to it. My concerns are valid. I need a Dr who understands and knows Sjogren's for what it is vs one wh

April 18, 2014

Excellent care!

April 15, 2014

This was my first visit with this physician. The majority of the visit was spent with the resident (internal medicine specialty) who did a very thorough exam (history & physical). The resident then discussed this information with the rheumatologist and then they returned to the room. The rheumatologist then asked some additional questions and did a limited exam. He was very willing to answer questions I had and even though the actual time spent with the MD was brief, I felt I was receiving good care. Some additional tests were ordered and the following day, the MD called with the results as well as to review the medications I would start and the plan of care/follow-up. Again, I appreciated the time he took to answer my questions.
