It was my first visit and for the most part, I was very, very impressed.

As good as medical gets

Dr. Patel was very professional and reassuring.

I asked Dr. Patel about a pain I get in my right. It is stabbing and we never got to the answer. I don't know if it is serious.

Each time I see Dr. Patel, he tells me a different story about my surgery and how long it will take to heal. He doesn't listen well, and gets irritated with me. He's abrupt and condescending to me most of the time. I don't like being stuck seeing him for years.

I was very impressed with Dr. Patel. Made me feel confortable and took care to understand my concerns.

There was no individulized care. He had a "speech" that he rattled off without really listening to my individual concerns or symptoms. He had already diagnosed me before he entered the room base on what the tech and resident had told him.

Dr. Patel was very clear in describing what was done and in describing followup care.

On my visit two months ago I was told to come back in March so that I could have my surgery scheduled. This time I was told that surgery was unnessary unless things got worse. I took a day off of work for this. My doctor could have told me this two months ago and saved me time and a co pay.

Seemed a little rushed, but then I am probably the easiest patient he has all day. His Fellow is a wonderful physician studying ocular neurology and has excelent patient manners. Sad that he ill be leaving soon to return to Texas.

I was seen mainly by Dr. Patel's assistant, PA and Jill. The person administering the tests was excellent, helpful, excellent communication skills and answered many questions I had. (I can't remember her name.) The PA was also friendly, asked a few more question of me, then left. When Dr. Patel entered he was very matter of fact, addressed a few issues, and took pictures. I assumed we would have more discussion, but my confidence in him came from the many referrals I had of him, the comments posted on-line from former patients and then again was reassured by Jill after I left Dr. Patel's presence. I think I was expecting a more personal and comprehensive summary from Dr. Patel after having been tested and seen by his staff for the first 30 minutes. But, I am grateful for and impressed by his skills, realizing he has a busy schedule, and I nticipate a good outcome from the surgery.

Dr. Patel has always been very concerned with the patients needs and is always looking for ways to improve the treatment.

Felt like he understood our problem and cared to get it taken care of as quickly as possible.

Testing took most of the time; physician least time (was short and to the point); after assistant spent considerable time explaining details about surgery, medications, etc.

I would highly recommend the doctor to friends and family. I thought he took adequate time with me and felt confident in the surgery he will do for me. He also stated that I could get in touch with him if any questions came up later. I appreciated that.

This appointment was my first after surgery. Dr. Patel came in and removed the tube from my eye. There was very little conversation. I wasn't asked any questions about how I faired after surgery or anything of that nature. Once the tube was removed we were done.

Other than the long wait at the facility it was a very pleasant experience. Dr. Patel is a wonderful doctor and I would recommend him to others for treatment and surgery. I don't know if the insurance companies are to blame for making the doctor see so many during the day or if the front personnel are to blame, but it seems like something could be done to move things along a little better. However, your treats were great.

his hands didn't seem clean

Today was an unusually and obviously tense day for Dr. Patel. Even with his interactions with his Fellow he showed unusual tension. Dr. Patel seemed unusually rushed, as if he was trying to "plow through" me to get to the next patient. Appeared as if he just walked in from a Night Club in his dress-rather unprofessional. I still had questions, he had set the treatment plan, and I was sent out to make a follow up visit. Even his interactions with his Fellow on this day were terse-as if I was watching him have a power-struggle with a very bright Fellow, and demeaning to him.

I just wish I could have been able to schedule my surgery before the end of the year. I had to wait from September to the middle of November to see Dr. Patel

The staff were competent, the communication was good. The problem is scheduling and patient flow. When the patient herd for afternoon clinic all arrived at the same time - I knew there would be delays in moving through the evaluation in a timely progression.

Dr. Patel is an excellent physician--knowledgeable and concerned about his patients.

After waiting for one hour and a half, the Dr. saw me for 10 min only. then I had to wait for another 45 min to speak with his assistant to just schedule a surgery. I kept waiting and waiting then I just left and ask them to call me.

Dr Patel is awesome and a great doctor. It has taken a couple of years but has really made my eye better

Again, Dr. Patel is a very caring eye doctor. I am fortunate that he is treating my eye problems.

He did a good job except he did not answer my question about why my tear duct keeps reclosing and why so quickly since my last surgery only a little over a year ago

A friend at work had the same proceedure the same day as I did with a different doctor and facility in Davis County. I was definitely the one with the best care and instructions on taking care of the wounds while the healing took place. I recovered more quickly with less swelling because of the ice pack and directions I was given initially.

I left with the feeling that I was a blip on this physician's enormous screen. I have always thought Dr. Patel to be a caring, amazing physician- at the top of his game. Because my condition is neither life-threatening nor does it require immediate attention, I will gladly give up my space in his busy exam rooms for those more deserving.

My questions were answered by all concerned. This was the third doctor I'd seen and I learned a lot more about my eyelid condition from Diana and Dr. Patel than I had been told previously.

I didnt like the fact he talked to his students more than he did me ... I left without asking some of the questions I had because 4 students were in the room and it was more like a class.

Always is extremely pleasant and concerned about my father. On this visit, went beyond his scope of interest and gave us a referral to another doctor for another condition.

He seemed to know what he was doing, but he spend a very minimal time with me and gave pretty brief explanations. He spent less than 5 minutes with me which was frustrating especially since it was almost an hour and a half after my scheduled appointment when I finally saw him.

I really like the Dr if not...I wouldn't be going back! He is only there on Wednesdays so there is over scheduling and then you have to wait forever...plus if you have to reschedule or get in last second it's about impossible!

Dr. Patel is an extremely gracious and caring doctor! My toddler son even commented several times about how he wanted to be Dr. Patel. I wish we would have found Dr. Patel earlier than having several surgeries from other doctors that were not effective!

I felt like the doctor was unaware of why we were there for our visit, he basically repeated from his our first visit that we did not need eyelid surgery. Then we explained we were there for air pockets under the skin, he looked at wrong eye and said everything was great and no reason for concern. I requested he look at the injured eye. When he did, he then said that it is very normal and you might feel it once every ten years but no problem. Well it had already happened four times just in the morning.

Dr. Patel is so gracious (in addition to being exceptionally gifted in his field) and treats my mother like a queen. Not all care givers are so respectful of the elderly.
