I feel a special connection with Dr. Bowen because she was the one who found and reported to me that I had melanoma 5 years ago. She is very thorough and is very aware of my skin cancer concerns. She spent only enough time to reassure me that it was not cancer, that I did the right thing to come in. She gave me a plan with options and I choose what I felt good with. I referred many, many patients to her.

My past dermatologist would only put me on Tetracycline every time I went in, and Dr. Bowen actually tackled it more aggressively by putting me on Tazorac and an antibiotic. She also told me about what to expect while on my medication, and what she will do if we see no progress. She made me feel like she actually wants to solve the problem instead of make money off of me.

UofU Patient February 09, 2012I was really impressed with Dr. Bowen. She was very professional and her bedside manner was excellent and she was very detailed and explained things and took her time. I had a bad experience somewhere else with this same issue and this experience was exactly the opposite. I needed a small procedure done and she did it right then so that I wouldn't have to come back in later. She took the time with me that I expected. I would defiinitely go to her again.
