Dr. Doane has always been very good at telling me what I need to do and, about the medication that he gives me, and those I am taking. He has been my go to doctor since 2002, he is great. Listens and shows true concern.

UofU Patient April 30, 2013My favorite thing about Dr Doane is that he never seems rushed. He takes time to do a thorough exam and makes sure to explain his thought process. I appreciate that Dr Doane talks with me - for example, he uses personal references and his own experiences in conversation - unlike other providers who talk "at" me.

Lori was a great help with getting an issue fixed with my rx as I needed a different rx due to copay cost. Overall, a great experience in clinic.

He knows that he can only do so much with my treatment and informs me what will happen if I don't carry through what's expected of me. I love that! I am always included in the final outcome for treatment. I know what to expect and when.

I explained that I was going to be having Bariatric Surgery and it seemed like he had to fight to not smile about the news. I appreciate the intention of the Doctor which I assume is, 'I want the best for you', but it may be necessary to accept that old habits die hard and sometimes people need help making changes.

He is sympathetic and can be firm when he needs to be. He always seems to remember me, even when there is a great deal of time between visits. He makes me feel like we are a team working towards the best health that I can have. He knows how to put me at my ease and he makes me feel like a person rather than a client or a patient and that he adapts his way of dealing with me to me and my particularities rather than having one generic attitude towards patients. He treats me like an individual and he has an excellent bedside manner achieving an easy rapport with me.

I have complicated health needs and he understands that. I need labs to be drawn/read that day and he called me at my home at 8:45 p.m. to discuss the results. He didn't dismiss me although my oxygen level was fine. He questioned me finding out I felt it when I was walking. He sent me for a walk with a nurse. Indeed, after walking it dropped. My last Dr hadn't bothered so I had suffered needlessly. I've finally found a doctor I can trust to do what I need
