I think I need to know more about the risks of the medications so I could make a more informed decision about whether I wanted to take those risks.
UofU Patient May 29, 2013Both Drs. were extremely knowledgeable and thorough in their examination. They were personable, and good listeners to the reasons I had come to to the clinic. They included my wife and myself in their conversation about my condition. They made the conversation about my condition and how to proceed in a diagnosis very open to everyone to contribute their concerns and ideas. It was a very good experience and they made you feel as though you were part of the team and treatment plan.

UofU Patient April 23, 2013I appreciated the professionalism and collaboration of being at a teaching/University facility. Both the doctor and doctor resident took their time in listening and explaining. I especially liked the respect given to me, that was shown by both doctors. It was also ensuring to hear the resident recap information with the doctor in front of me, giving me the ability to correct, change or add information. I felt that both doctors were sincerely trying to help me, and figure out what was causing my health concerns. I was impressed with how they bounced ideas off each other and openly, in front of me, discussed options for next steps. I had been to a series of doctors over 3 years, trying to get to the bottom of my condition and really felt that these two professionals did more for me in one visit, than all other doctors visits combined. They sincerely worked to a solution and taking the next steps to gather more data or information versus brushing off the health concern, by labeling what was going on and being done with it. I had a very positive experience with Dr Koening and Dr Saad.

He's willing to discuss and consider my concerns and input. I have learned so much from him and have always felt his concern and caring. UofU Patient October 03, 2012Some of the medical condition terms were new to me and i did not understand all of them. Of course this was a unusual situation at the visit with everything the way it was with scheduling. He was trying to catch up. But i know this is about the amount of time spent with patients that is why i have my sister along to take notes. He did call me with results on the day i flew out which was above teh call of duty so that was great! I am just worried i will not hear from here now that i am home.

UofU Patient March 09, 2012I was very impressed with the Dr's knowledge and understanding of the purported diagnosises. I am even more impressed that he said that he was not sure that I had the problems, but that he could not rule them out. He was ready to help and order any and all tests to help to diagnose and confirm or reject any diseases. The Dr. (Koening) is working with my GP in Vernal so that I don't have to drive over the mountains more than necessary. I am extreamly happy with the care and concern of Dr. Kowning.
