Bio

Shari Combe MPAS, PA-C has over 15 years of clinical experience in Neurology. She worked at Primary Children's Medical Center prior to joining the University of Utah. As a physician assistant, she is involved in the diagnosis, treatment and manangement of seizures and epilepsy. She has expertise in prescribing and managing the Vagal Nerve Stimulator. She has interests in presurgical evaluation and the treatment of intractable epilepsies. She has been involved in numerous clinical trials.

Academic Bio

Shari received an undergraduate degree in 1986 from Weber State College, as a Radiologic Technologist. She worked for 13 years in Magnetic Resonance and Computerized Tomography imaging in both pediatric and trauma settings. She then returned to school, earning a Bachelor of Science in Health Administration with a minor in Advanced Radiography from Weber State University in 1992. She graduated from the University of Utah Physician Assistant Program in 1997. Shari worked in Pediatric Neurology for 15 years before joining the University of Utah Comprehensive Epilepsy Program. Throughout her career, she has mentored residents, Radiography and Physician Assistant students.

Shari is a native of Utah and enjoys outdoor activities with her family and friends. She advocates for epilepsy education at the state and national level.
