Bio

Full-time speech pathologist and the clinical director of The Voice Disorders Center. He received his graduate degree at the University of Utah where he completed a thesis under the supervision of Dr. Nelson Roy. He has extensive experience in differential diagnosis and treatment of muscle tension dysphonia, paradoxical vocal fold motion/vocal cord dysfunction, and other functional as well as structural and neurogenic voice disorders. Mr. Houtz is a Lee Silverman Voice TreatmentĀ® (LSVT) Certified Clinician. His research interests include differential diagnosis and treatment efficacy of voice disorders. He is an author on numerous peer-reviewed research papers on voice disorders.
