He made sure all my questions were answered and that we were happy with current medication. He took the time to discuss whether we needed to try other things or if the current med is working. He could have just signed a new script and sent us away.

UofU Patient March 27, 2013I had to ask for meds for my nausea, because he didn't offer anything. He told me that he ruled out appendicitis...(which was obvious, seeing as I have already had my appendix out). He basically sent me away telling me to drink gatorade. Didn't check for influenza A or B. I felt like I could have been my own doctor.

I have been to several UUHC physicians since I changed my insurance and a couple of them shouldn't be practicing medicine due to the outward lack of interest in my needs.

I had been in at another University clinic several weeks before and what was provided there didn't seem to help anywhere near as much as Dr. Poor.

UofU Patient October 29, 2012We had to freeze a wart off my son's finger. Even though he was screaming and crying, Dr. Poor was very patient in waiting for him to calm down between freezes. I feel like Dr. Poor is going to be great as our new family physician.
