C. Jerry Jou, DO PhD is a visiting clinical instructor of the Division of Pediatric Neurology at the University of Utah School of Medicine and Primary Children´s Medical Center. Dr. Jou is a general pediatric cardiologist who sees children with all forms of congenital heart disease. His research interests include the genetic and cellular basis of inherited arrhythmias, and embryological development of the cardiac conduction system

Academic Bio

Dr. Jou 's career as a researcher and educator began in 2011 at the University Of Utah School of Medicine, where, he held the position of Assistant Professor of Pediatrics. In 2010, Dr. Jou was award American Heart Association Fellow-to-Faculty award. Dr. Jou’s area of research is the genetic and cellular basis of inherited arrhythmia, with focus on Long QT Syndrome. Dr. Jou has written 7 scientific papers, 1 chapter, and several abstracts (5 during the past 3 years).

Chuanchau J. Jou, D.O. Ph.D. is an assistant professor / attending physician in the division of Pediatric Cardiology, where cares for children with congenital heart disease, advocates for fellow/resident education.

Dr. Jou received his undergraduate education at the Amherst College, D.O. at A.T. Still University (formerly Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine), and Ph.D. at the University of Oklahoma. After completing postgraduate residency training in pediatrics at Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital, and fellowship in pediatric cardiology at the University of Utah, he accepted an attending position at the University of Utah.
