Bio

Dr. Boyer is currently the Director of the University of Utah Blood and Marrow Transplant Program, which encompasses both adult and pediatric bone marrow transplant, with clinical services at the Huntsman Cancer Institute (Clinic 2C) and at Primary Children's Medical Center. He is also the Medical Director for the University of Utah Cell Therapy Facility.

They took the time to explain things to my father so he would understand. Use simple explinations with out making him feel as if the questions were not important.

Staff was very good at making sure my father understood what they were asking of him and answering his questions. The used words/terminology that he could understand yet did not talk down to him. I felt that the used the correct terminology and then gave him an example of what they were describing or talking about. This provided him with the knowledge of understanding and still hearing the correct terminology so he would have a baseline understanding. Excellent job.

Procedure was my 32nd ECP session, taking the normal 4 hours. Thus, there is good and sustained contact with providers on any subjects pertaining to the treatment. The take their role seriously about educating the patient.
