Robert G. Gray, MD is Director of the Pediatric Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories of the University of Utah at Primary Children’s Medical Center. Dr. Gray is a board-certified pediatric cardiologist who provides general cardiology care to children with all forms of heart disease. His subspecialty clinical expertise is in the performance of diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures in children and adults with structural heart disease.

Dr. Gray’s clinical interests include general Pediatric Cardiology as well as Interventional Cardiology in children and adults with congenital heart disease.

Dr. Gray’s research interests are presently focused on clinical research concerning Interventional Cardiology.

Academic Bio

Robert Gray, M.D. is an Assistant Professor of Pediatric Cardiology at the University of Utah, where he has been a member of the faculty since 2007, and has been the Director of the Pediatric Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories at Primary Children’s Medical Center since 2012. He is a board-certified pediatric cardiologist who sees children with all forms of heart disease. His subspecialty clinical expertise is in the performance of diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures in children and adults with structural heart disease.

Robert Gray, M.D. completed his undergraduate and medical degrees at Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts. He completed a residency in Pediatrics at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, followed by fellowships in Pediatric Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology at the Children’s Hospital of New York, Columbia University in New York, New York. He is board certified in Pediatric Cardiology, an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, and has been a member of the faculty of the University of Utah since 2007. In 2009, he became the Associate Director of the Pediatric Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories at Primary Children’s Medical Center. Dr. Gray’s research interests are presently focused on clinical research concerning Interventional Cardiology. Since 2007, he has participated in local research, as a co-investigator in several multicenter investigational device trials, and continues to work in collaboration with the Congenital Cardiovascular Interventional Study Consortium (CCISC) and the Pediatric Heart Network (PHN).
