5 Steps to Safer Cycling
Nearly 1,000 bicyclists were hit by motor vehicles in Utah in 2012, reports Utah Department of Public Safety. Biking is a great way to get exercise, and can be safe if precautions are taken.
- Wear a helmet, and make sure it fits.
- Ride on bike trails or in low-traffic areas.
- Know Utah’s bicycle safety laws.

Learn how to prevent biking injuries and receive nutrition tips at one of University of Utah Health Care’s free Cyclist’s Workshops on April 14 at South Jordan Health Center and April 16 at the University Orthopaedic Center.
