Salt Lake City, UT – Donna Roach, Chief Information Officer at U of U Health, has been awarded the prestigious 2023 HIMSS John A. Page Distinguished Fellows Service Changemaker Award for her exceptional contributions to the field of health care information and technology. This award is given annually by the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) to individuals who have made significant and lasting impacts to the industry.

Roach has been recognized for her innovative and visionary approach to health care, which has led to the implementation of digital solutions that have transformed the way care is delivered to patients and clinicians. Her passion for improving health care has resulted in the development of numerous digital solutions, including improved interoperability, clinical automation, and business innovation.

“I am truly honored to receive this award from HIMSS,” Roach said. “I have always been driven by a passion for improving the lives of patients, and I’m honored to see that my efforts are being recognized on a national level. I am grateful to HIMSS for this recognition, and I look forward to continuing my work to advance the patient experience through technology.”

Roach has been a trailblazer in the health care industry for more than 35 years. At U of U Health, she leads the digital strategy, clinical and business applications, infrastructure, innovation, and security teams across five hospitals and 11 community health care centers.
